Caregiving for an Emotionally Immature Parent: Education and process group

Based on Dr. Lindsey Gibson's work, this caregiving process and education group is for caregivers who are also Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents.
An emotionally immature parent is a parent that lacks the ability to manage their own emotions or tune into their child’s emotional needs, resulting in a parenting style that is self-centered, neglectful, or inconsistent.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long are group therapy sessions?
Groups are 90 minutes, virtually, and consist of a check in, a topic of education, and a time for discussion. Most groups meet for 6 or 8 weeks.
How much is each group and how many people participate?
Each group is $25 per group and can be made after each group or in entirety when registering. Groups are capped and closed when the maximum of 10 participants has been reached?
Why is group therapy helpful?
Group therapy fosters a sense of belonging and community that can reduce feelings of isolation. Too many caregivers feel like they are on their own when there are over 65 million caregivers in the US.
